In 2012, BPC acquired an equity stake (20.87% ) in Awazel as a Saudi company owns the largest and most comprehensive manufacturer of bitumen (asphalt) based waterproofing material in the Middle East.
Awazel started diversifying its product through acquisition of stakes in companies that have products that complement its own product; mainly in the construction and building materials sector.
